1)Although we live in moden world,we must not forget our traditional values.
2)We must learn to appreciate people while we can.

4)Learn to respect and tolerate each other.
5)We should consider and accept changes in our lives and progress with the time.
6)We should always voice out our feelings especially if we want to express feelings of love for family member especially an old parent.
Character and Characteristic
1)Mr Li
-successful businessman in shipping sector.
-tolerant:doesn't interfere in this mother's traditional ways.
-patient and respectful:waits for mother to finish prayers although he had to leave for office.
2)Ah Ma(Mr Li's mother)
-old fashioned:doesn't beleive in having eye operation for cataract.
-doings to the past:refuser to accept the change.
-traditional with strong religious beleifs values Chinese tradition.
3)Ying(Mr Li's daughter)
-loving:takes care of grandmother in hospital.
-persuasive:tries to persuade her grandmother to let her do the praying to the grandfather.
4)Helen(Mr Li's wife)
-a lady of leisure also enjoys having tea with her friends.
-proud:mentions the children's overseas education to impress her friends.
